Kitty Ponse, Geneva

My great-aunt Kitty (Cornelia Catharina) Ponse, Sumatra 1897 - Geneva 1982, was the last Ponse to live in Geneva (from 1904/05), where she became a professor at the University of Geneva in the Section of Biology - Genetics & Evolution:

From 1936, Kitty Ponse rented a chalet in Les Haudères (Val d'Hérens, Valais) for the rest of her life, where many visits were made by friends, students, colleagues and relatives. To many, she was also known as (Tante) Poppie.
